Pickwicks of Ipswich
Ipswich's best loved and oldest coffee house
About Our Unique Shop
A Little History
Housed in a building dating back to the 15th century and believed to have been the office of Thomas Wolsey's secretary, Pickwicks Coffee and Tea House occupies a truly unique position in Ipswich.
The facade you can see today is in the Art Nouveau style and is a popular stopping off point for guided tours of Ipswich.
Our Lovely Building

Inside the Cafe'
At Pickwicks we pride ourselves on a traditional approach to service. All the tables are served by table staff, so no standing in a queue with a heavy tray. Whether you fancy a leisurely lunch with us during a shopping trip or maybe just a quick coffee break from a busy business day, Pickwicks is the perfect choice.
Sunny Secluded Courtyard
Throughout the year, we open the courtyard behind the cafe'. Set in the beautiful churchyard and shaded by ancient Yew trees.
The perfect place to enjoy a Greek salad with an iced drink in the sunshine. Or perhaps wrap up in one of our blankets and warm up a hot chocolate during the colder months.
