The overall process is used to replicate the original treatment where the beans were transported in wooden boats. This accidentally gave the beans a wonderful deep spiciness which was loved and then replicated intentionally. This dark roasted full-bodied coffee comes from India, and its flavour has an essence of India spice, wood and caramel.
